Digital Nature Walks
Multimedia meditations that invite us to notice the similarities between us, both big and small.
The series began as a response to our increasingly fragmented world. At a time when social media can leave us feeling more disconnected, I wanted to create a reminder of what we share — our connection to one another, and to the natural world around us.
I’ve named the series Digital Nature Walks as an ode to my grandmother. As a child, she would take me on “nature walks,” encouraging me to leave my drawing table and experience the outdoors as a creative adventure. Together, we would notice the small details of the natural world, collect plants and fragments of what we found, and bring them home to compose into pictures.
Digital Nature Walks is a digitisation of that childhood ritual. A meeting point between consciousness, technology and nature. Each work brings together fragments of the natural world with the contemplations I experience when I am immersed in it, creating a space to pause, reconnect and remember what we have in common.
